Bible Reading at Warp Speed

I love to read. I often can be found sitting on my couch curled up with a book.

I can read when I’m tired. Stressed. Needing a stay-cation.

I thought today I’d share a tip of sorts for those of you reading the Bible in 90 days with us. And of course this tip will help anyone reading the bible as well.

We are starting the third week of our reading plan. For those of us reading the bible chronologically based on the NLT schedule we’ve completed two months of reading in two weeks.

WOW!

Can you believe it? I am always amazed.

Now to my tip….

Look for God.

I know, not rocket science. But stay with me here.

We as believers know the end of this story. We know Jesus. We know the need for heavenly help, His help.

Thus, as you’re reading the bible look for God. Look for His plans of redemption. Salvation.

Read it Like a Novel.

This also sounds a bit nuts. Read the bible like a novel.

Remember God is the main character. All others are supporting. They are in the spotlight for a purpose…His glory.

Adam…

Eve…

Joseph…

Job…

His glory.

We are reading at warp speed. You don’t have time to read and study. Not at this pace. I strongly recommend you keep your study time separate. But as you read and look for Him. Look at His plans unfolding before your eyes.

Here’s some questions to get you started:

  • What does your reading reveal to you about God’s character….who He is?
  • How does your reading point to Jesus?
  • How does your reading show our need for Christ?

Question: Share your best bible reading tip. Share in below in the comment section.

I am constantly amazed by God’s demand for perfection in all that we do. The strict regulations He sets forth for the tabernacle and the priests reminds me of my need for a Savior. There is nohumanly way possible that we could even come close to the perfection that our God demands. Wow. So thankful for our precious Savior, Jesus!

  2. I’m SO thankful that there is JESUS who gives us grace! I’m glad to be in this generation and not during the Old Testament. WHEW! I would have never made it:0)

  3. I’m sorry I just saw your email! My inbox has been crazy & I just sifted through it! Things are going well..I just got a new study Bible that is really helping
