For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this? Esther 4:14
We are at a very interesting time in our country. So much has changed, their is unrest, hearts are heavy, lives have changed…
It reminds me of a saying my grandmother would declare often, “we are in our last days”.
This week’s reading makes me think of this passage where Mordecai makes Esther aware of his faith in the impending deliverance of the Jews. But he also imparts some words of encouragement, at least to my sometimes unsettled heart.
Mordecai says “And who know but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NIV) [Read in context.]
Maybe you too have been positioned and planted in your current situation for such a time as this. To me is makes me believe, “I am made for this. This moment has not caught God by surprise, oh no, He has His children right where He needs them.”
I hope you too find encouragement in the passages ahead.

Hi Dana, I’m still reading and enjoying the journey. I’m a little behind at the moment but not stressing just pushing forward. I’m glad we’re passed all those names and places. It had me a little tongue tied….LOL.
Hello Tonia, LOL!!! Yes. I totally get it. What I have learned to do is try to read everyone and recall that my name is important to God too. 😉 Keep reading my sister.
Hi Dana,
I am sooo late checking in & way behind 🙂
The verse you referenced in Esther, really gives me something to think about.
Thanks
