A Journey Worthy of Your Time: Bible in 90 Days Week 13

As I write this post a handful of women are ending their journey as they read the bible in 90 days. I am amazed by their courage, their tenacity, their commitment to…reading God’s holy word.

A Journey Worthy of Your Time by Dana Pittman

This weekend I spoke at a special bible study session on the topic of brokeness. I prayed and prayed over what to say. I was asked to close the four week study in which different teachers presented weekly. I was asked to help the women use the information learned and move forward.

My spirit steady on my personal walk through the word. My brain could not see the apparent connection. I now know it’s quite clear. But as always when praying over what to teach I didn’t question. I continued to read. I read. I read. And I read some more.

It took time. Time always helps.

Hours…

Days…

Weeks sometimes.

Then this scripture came forth…

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105

In that moment the picture became clear. The topic, the connection, God’s wonderful grace extended to us through His perfect word.

I am planning to post a blog version of my session on Thursday. For now, I want to impress upon you the time spent is God’s word is a journey worth your time.

We have read through the entire bible in 90 days (I’m claiming it) and there is no way to catch all that is within the bible. However, most people leave this journey enthused about reading more, studying more, sharing more, loving…more.

I pray you will consider taking the journey for yourself.

Be blessed.

  1. It’s been a great journey and definitely worth my time. I’ve fallen behind but I’m working hard to catch up. Sometimes, I feel that when I’ve fallen behind its because God wants me to read certain parts of the Bible not necessarily on schedule if that makes sense.

Thanks, Dana for all of the support and your faithfulness during these 90 days.
